1 Corinthians 12:4-7 “4 There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities*, but it is the same God who works all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:” NKJV
The Greek word “activities” in verse 6, is energéma: which is: a working, an effect, operation; “diversities of operations,” KJV, “different kinds of working” NIV].
Basically, Paul is saying that the Holy Spirit has different jobs to do. We know from John 14-17 and from Paul’s epistles that the Holy Spirit would have many jobs to do upon various groups, including the Apostles, Sinners, and Saints, including the Church.
